Kimoby Integrates With PBS

Kimoby connects to PBS for repair order and customer data. Here's what that connection covers today, where it stands compared to CDK, Reynolds, and Tekion, and how texting, video inspections, estimates, loaners, and campaigns all run on top of it.

The problem this solves

Without a DMS connection, the advisor is stuck bridging two systems by hand, looking up the RO in PBS, then re-entering the same customer and amount into a separate tool. The PBS connection removes that lookup step at the terminal.

What syncs today

At the Kimoby Pay terminal, customer, RO number, and amount due auto-populate directly from PBS, so advisors aren't re-keying anything mid-transaction.

What isn't included yet

Two things worth being direct about, since PBS is a narrower integration than CDK, Reynolds, or Tekion right now: PBS doesn't currently support invoice delivery through Kimoby the way those three do, and automatic payment write-back is CDK-only, not available on PBS. The terminal integration today covers RO sync, not those two capabilities. If either matters most to your store, it's worth knowing where PBS stands rather than assuming parity with CDK.

Beyond payments: what else runs on the same connection

The PBS connection isn't only for payments, it's what the rest of the service lane workflow is built on top of.

Texting. Every conversation ties to the open RO your advisor is already looking at in PBS, so the thread has context instead of being just a phone number.

Video inspections and estimates. A technician's walkaround video and the AI-generated estimate built from it both reference the same repair order, so the customer's approval and the advisor's view of that RO stay in sync.

Missed calls. Kimoby Voice identifies the caller against the same PBS account data, matches them to their open RO, and routes them to their own advisor instead of a generic queue.

Loaners. A loaner agreement created in Kimoby Go references the same customer and vehicle record, so it's not a separate paper trail from the repair itself.

Campaigns. Declined-service follow-up, recall outreach, and warranty-expiry campaigns through Kimoby Grow draw on the same customer and vehicle history rather than a separate exported list.

Why it matters for Canadian dealerships specifically

PBS is the system of record for a lot of Canadian dealerships, and a lot of Kimoby's own team is Quebec-based. Kimoby operates in both English and French, which matters for the Quebec market PBS serves heavily.

Kimoby also connects to CDK and Tekion. See the full integrations list for CDK, Reynolds, Tekion, PBS, DealerTrack, Autosoft, and more.

FAQ

Does Kimoby integrate with PBS?

Yes. The Kimoby Pay terminal syncs repair order and customer data from PBS automatically.

Does Kimoby's PBS integration include invoice delivery or payment write-back?

Not currently. Invoice delivery is available on CDK, Reynolds, and Tekion. Payment write-back is CDK-only. On PBS, the integration covers RO sync to the terminal.

Does Kimoby only handle payments for PBS dealers?

No. The same PBS connection underlies texting, video inspections, digital estimates, missed-call handling through Kimoby Voice, loaner management, and service campaigns through Kimoby Grow. Payments is one module inside the full platform.

What service lane software works with PBS in Canada?

Kimoby is one option: a Service Lane OS with texting, video inspections, digital estimates, loaner management, campaigns, and payments connected to PBS, operating in both English and French.
